Jared Clayton Brown
Digital News EditorJared Clayton Brown joined the WOSU News team in November 2022. He spent seven years working for the Fox and NBC affiliate stations in Louisville and three years with the CBS affiliate station in Columbus.
Jared is a proud Detroit native and big University of Michigan fan. As a Columbus resident, he is always happy to engage in friendly exchanges with all Buckeye fans.
Jared's interest in journalism was sparked during his time at Eastern Michigan University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree majoring in English Language with a minor in Electronic Media and Film Studies.
He later earned his Master of Arts in Popular Culture degree from Bowling Green State University by writing his thesis on his all-time favorite TV show, "The Golden Girls." Completely familiar with all 180 episodes of the iconic series, Jared is always eager to meet and chat about the show with other fans.
During his time in grad school, Jared completed internships at PBS, NPR and CNN.
To relax, Jared loves to read, take long walks, listen to music, sing, swim and watch "The Golden Girls" reruns.
