Ohio Learns 360

Ohio’s PBS stations, through a partnership with the Ohio Department of Education, will be working with local summer and afterschool programs to address disruptions to learning caused during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Called Ohio Learns 360, this new initiative will provide families, afterschool and summer programs with PBS resources, including standards-based curriculum and materials, virtual field trips, interactive video programs, community events and more, all designed to accelerate student learning and support the state’s most vulnerable learners in kindergarten through fifth grade.

After School 360

For OST providers, these live and on-demand sessions for young learners are led by PBS education staff members.

Sessions include read-alouds, clips from our favorite shows, and hands-on activities. These are perfect for after-school programs, day-care centers, and community clubs and are available to groups of 5 children or more.

Sessions will cover a variety of topics including mathematics, social emotional learning, science, and social studies, all in a manner that is aligned to the Ohio Learning Standards! Sessions will be held at a time pre-determined by your group and a PBS education staff member. Learn more about After School 360!

Parents and caregivers, join us for monthly webinars to get answers to some of your most important questions.

Virtual Field Trips

Join us for exciting visits to museums, parks and cultural centers. Whether its dinosaurs, art, football or nature, you’ll see some amazing things! Learn more about Virtual Field Trips!

Camps-In-A-Box

Are you an OST provider working with students in grades K-5? Your locations may be able to receive one or more interactive kits for use in your summer and after school programs.

Each kit contains five activities and materials for up to 20 students, including an easy-to-follow facilitator’s guide and links to online resources.

One hour of professional development from your local PBS station will be required for each kit that a staff member receives. Supplies are limited. Learn more about Camps-In-A-Box!

Local Events

WOSU Classroom will host events in partnership with local community organizations to provide access to families and strengthen community connections.

Upcoming events may include family learning days, education themed in-person events that focus on STEM, kid camps, and learning experiences provided at regional schools. Learn more about the upcoming Second Saturday!
