The Ohio House has approved a bill that in the spirit of free expression would extend to religious expression in assignments, prayer, artwork and clothing in public schools.

Critics say the bill could require teachers to give credit for inaccurate answers that are part of a student’s religious beliefs. They say that the U.S. Constitution and state law already protect religious expression in schools.

Today on the All Sides with Ann Fisher Weekly Reporter Roundtable: religious expression in Ohio’s public schools, and more.

Guests:

  • Andy Chow, Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau reporter
  • Darrel Rowland, Public Affairs Editor, The Columbus Dispatch
  • Jessie Balmert, State government reporter, Cincinnati Enquirer
