An Ohio State student died early Thursday when his car struck the base of a pedestrian walkway over I-71 in north Columbus.
Columbus police said Ashton Krick, 20, was driving on I-71 just north of Morse Road around 2:10 a.m. when his car went off the right side of the road and hit the walkway base.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Krick was an aerospace engineering major at Ohio State.
