Columbus Police say a man who robbed a west Columbus gas station was fatally shot by someone who fled the scene before officers arrived.
The man killed is identified as Courdney Sims, 25. Police say he robbed the United Dairy Farmers store at 1043 West Broad Street at gunpoint early Sunday morning, and was shot by a still-unidentified person in the store's parking lot.
Police say Sims was considered a suspect in several other recent robberies.
