Police have identified a homeless man whose body was found with bullet wounds in an abandoned home in Columbus over the weekend.

Police say 54-year-old Willie Worthy Jr. was discovered Saturday morning in a vacant home in Olde Towne East.

The Franklin County Coroner's Office says Worthy had been shot once in the head and once in the back.

Authorities don’t know how long his decomposing body was inside the house.

His death had been the 65th killing in Columbus this year.
