Sherrod Brown Talks COVID Relief Legislation

Andy Chow
/
Ohio Statehouse News Bureau

We are expected to learn more about the next COVID-19 relief legislation to be considered at the U.S. Congress on Monday.

The $908 billion aid package is expected to be attached to a larger year-end spending bill that is needed to avert a government shutdown next weekend, according to The Associated Press.

One thing we know for sure: the relief package will not contain direct payments to Americans like the CARES Act from earlier this year.

Ohio's Democratic U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown joins Cincinnati Edition to talk about the relief package, what it lacks, and what it should have.

Listen to Cincinnati Edition live at noon M-F. Audio for this segment will be uploaded after 4 p.m. ET.
