It is true that we sometimes lie.
The lies aren't always egregious or even malicious. Sometimes, they are simply "little white lies."
But why do we do it?
The new book Would I Lie to You? The Amazing Power of Being Honest in a World that Lies, by Cincinnati-based author Judi Ketteler, explores what happens when we start paying attention to our own decisions around honesty, rather than focusing on everyone else's dishonesty.
Ketteler explored her own dance with the truth in an honesty journal and then wrote about it for The New York Times. The journey continued through the completion of this new book, which was released at the end of December.
Ketteler joins Cincinnati Edition to talk about it.
