Metalex is one of the 76 small businesses in Ohio supplying hardware and components to build NASA’s new Orion spacecraft and SLS rocket.

Since 1971 Metalex has worked on critical turbo-machinery, structural, housing and combustion components and assemblies ever used in space flight.

The first mission for Orion and SLS will launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in 2018 for a three-week mission beyond the moon and back. The first crewed flight is set for 2021 with the goal to land humans on Mars by the 2030s.
