So, a Dog Walks into an Orchestra Concert ...

A dog found a comfy spot on stage during an orchestra concert in Turkey.

Orchestra concerts now have light shows, video displays and, in some places, food and drink to enjoy during the music.

So, sure — why not dogs, too?

The Vienna Chamber Orchestra was performing the first movement of Felix Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony in an outdoor concert near Izmir, Turkey, when a Labrador wandered on stage and lay down next to the concertmaster.

The video is priceless. See for yourself:

Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
