Ensuring diverse leadership in top college administration positions

For the past two years, Kristina Johnson has served as president of The Ohio State University. So, it came as a surprise last week when she announced she would be resigning at the end of the academic year.

Ohio State's Board of Trustees will begin searching for the university’s 17th president.

A college president is responsible for overseeing both the academic and administrative operations for the institution.

They also serve as the public face of the school. However, a new study finds college president searches tend to favor white men.
