New York City Reaches $5.9 Million Settlement With Eric Garner Family
New York City has reached a $5.9 million settlement with the family of Eric Garner, the unarmed black man who died after police placed him in a chokehold last year. Garner's family held a press conference on Tuesday with the Rev. Al Sharpton in Harlem to talk about the settlement.

9 people have died in connection to the listeria outbreak among Boar's Head products
The Boar's Head recall was first issued in July and linked to a ready-to-eat liverwurst product. The recall has since expanded to products including sliced ham varieties, sausages and loaves.
Research Suggests Increasing Vitamin D Exposure
Nutrition researchers are pushing for a big increase in the daily recommended dose of Vitamin D. Dozens of recent studies suggest that deficiencies of the vitamin make people more vulnerable to everything from fractures to certain cancers and diabetes.
