  • A second ballot drop-off location will be available for Cuyahoga County voters as of Tuesday morning. Cuyahoga County Board of Elections staff will be available to accept completed ballots starting at 8 a.m. at the Campus International High School on Chester Avenue. The parking lot for the school is directly across E. 30th Street from the back of the board of election main building and the main drop box.

"If I want change, it starts with me," Fritz said. "It's totally worth the wait in line. Our ancestors fought for this opportunity and it would be horrible of me to not exercise my right to vote."

  • Updated: 8:24 p.m. Dec. 2, 2019 The City of Cleveland will delay adoption of Cuyahoga County’s ban on retail plastic bags, but only by six months instead of the full year originally proposed. Under the amended city council legislation easily approved Monday night, a Cleveland working group will have until July 1, 2020, to propose possible citywide rules for disposable bags. That’s also when Cuyahoga County plans to begin collecting fines from retailers for giving out plastic bags to customers.
  • Atatiana Jefferson, 28, was shot and killed in the confines of her own home by police officer Aaron Dean, who resigned Monday. Dean has been charged with murder.
  • Police are searching for those responsible in the death of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner. She was shot over the weekend near the Wendy's restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was killed last month.
