Ohio State University has revoked the registered student organization status of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity for violating hazing and alcohol policies.

That means the fraternity is no longer recognized by the university and can't get any of the benefits that registered university organizations are able to receive.

An email from university spokesperson Dave Isaacs said the fraternity's status was revoked on Tuesday and will last through May 5, 2030.

Isaacs had no further details about what caused the fraternity's status to be revoked. The fraternity can appeal within five days.

WOSU called the fraternity on Wednesday. President Nick Tamburri had no comment.

This comes after the university placed the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity on interim suspension in March after an incident where a student was injured and hospitalized following a fraternity event.
