Ohio State University has placed a fraternity on interim suspension after an incident Wednesday that left a student hospitalized.
Ohio State spokesperson Ben Johnson tells WOSU the fraternity is Pi Kappa Phi.
Johnson did not disclose any specific details as to what happened at the fraternity event.
An interim suspension prohibits organizations from participating or holding activities as a registered student organization, pending the outcome of an investigation or conduct proceeding.
The chapter must stop all new member activity during the interim suspension.
A WOSU reporter knocked on the door of the fraternity on Friday afternoon in effort to reach someone for comment but no one answered.
Johnson said local law enforcement will assist with any investigation.
