Murder trial for former Franklin County deputy delayed until Tuesday

Former Franklin County Sheriff's deputy Jason Meade leaves the stand after he testifies in his trial at the Franklin County Common Pleas Court.

The murder and reckless homicide trial for former Franklin County Sheriff's deputy Jason Meade has been delayed until Tuesday.

Meade is on trial for shooting and killing 23-year-old Casey Goodson Jr. in Dec. 2020.

On Wednesday, the last person to testify was defense team's use of force consultant.

No testimony was given Thursday.

Franklin County Common Pleas Court Judge David Young dismissed jurors Thursday afternoon without explaining why the trial didn't proceed as scheduled.

Young instructed jurors to be back in court Tuesday at 9 a.m.
