Columbus City Schools have canceled all in-person and virtual classes as snow that started overnight continued coating Central Ohio roads into the Tuesday morning commute.
Tuesday was supposed to be the second day for Columbus fourth and fifth graders under the new hybrid learning schedule. Pre-K through 3rd grades began attending some in-person classes last week, with grades split into two groups each attending classes for two days a week.
Snow was expected to continue falling until about 9 a.m., then turn to patchy flurries and freezing drizzle between 9 a.m. and noon.
Other Franklin County schools districts also canceled school on Tuesday include Bexley, Columbus Catholic Schools, Dublin, Gahanna-Jefferson, Grandview Heights, Hilliard, Reynoldsburg, Upper Arlington, Westerville and Whitehall.
Olentangy schools are operating on a two-hour delay,
Pickerington schools are closed, but all students will be learning virtually. All South-Western City School District buildings are closed, however the district's virtual learning academy will hold classes today.
