Columbus City Schools Among Districts Canceling Classes Tuesday

Columbus City Schools is joining most other Central Ohio districts in canceling classes on the second straight morning of snow-covered roads.

Higher winds were also causing causing snow to drift onto roads in outlying areas. No new major snow accumulation is expected Tuesday.

Tuesday was supposed to be Columbus City Schools’ second day of a new blended learning modelthat divides pre-K and elementary school students into two groups, with each attending in-person classes two days a week. Middle and high school students will return to class when the distrct can find them transportation.

Other districts canceling all classes Tuesday include Columbus Catholic Schools, Dublin City Schools, Gahanna-Lincoln Schools, Hilliard City School, Olentangy Public Schools, Reynoldsburg City Schools and Westerville City Schools .

South-Western City Schools canceled in-person classes but was still proceeding with Virtual Learning Academy classes. Pickerington City Schools has canceled all in-person learning, but all students will be learning virtually on Tuesday.
