The remains of two individuals were found by law enforcement Thursday while conducting a search warrant in Columbus' Hilltop neighborhood.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio said that federal and local law enforcement conducted the search Thursday morning at 2448 Sullivant Avenue.

"The bodies were discovered partially dismembered, buried in the basement and covered in concrete," the office said in a press release Friday.

Law enforcement believes the bodies may be connected to two individuals from a missing persons report filed in August 2018, Henry Clay Watson and Tera Lynn Pennington. Authorities contacted their families and are working on identifying their bodies.

No further information about the investigation has been provided.

The investigation is being conducted with  the Department of Homeland Security, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Columbus Police, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and other agencies.

The office asks anyone with relevant information to call (866) DHS-2423.
