Columbus Crew midfielder Artur (8) and Minnesota United midfielder Jacori Hayes (5) battle for the ball during the second half of an MLS soccer match in Kissimmee, Fla., Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

The Columbus Crew are on the verge of winning their second MLS Cup in club history.

In the Eastern Conference final on Sunday, Artur scored in the 59th minute to advance the Columbus Crew to the MLS Cup championship with a 1-0 victory over the New England Revolution

The Crew host the Cup final next Saturday at MAPFRE Stadium. A limited number of fans will be allowed to attend the game in-person. The team is holding a ticket lottery that would allow fans to purchase two tickets to the championship match.

Head coach Caleb Porter says it's great to host the final in what's expected to be the last season of Crew soccer inside MAPFRE Stadium.

"It's going be a hell of a final and it's going to be a lot of fun, and I hope we can get as many fans in there's as possible that's safe," Porter said. "The one that we can't get in there... I hope every single person in Columbus is watching on TV."

The third-seeded Crew will face the winner of Monday night’s Western Conference final between the defending champion Seattle Sounders and Minnesota United.

Last Sunday, Columbus defeated upstart Nashville with two goals during extra time to advance to the conference finals, even as the team struggled with positive coronavirus cases.
