Driver Gets 13 Years For Downtown CrashThat Killed Two

Terrence Trent

The driver of a pickup truck that plowed into a school bus and caused the death of two pedestrians in downtown Columbus was sentenced to 13 years in prison today.

Sixth-three year old Terrance Trent of Whitehall was convicted last month of two counts of vehicular homicide in the deaths of 21-year old Stephanie Fibelkorn and 58-year old William Lewis.

The crash occurred at the corner of Board and High streets.

Trent has testified he panicked because his girlfriend was hitting him as he drove. He said he didn't remember speeding through red lights or weaving through traffic before the 2014 accident.

Trent has also lost his driving privileges for life.
