A police dispatcher said two people were transported to a local hospital.

Police in Marysville say two people have been taken to a local hospital after a train derailed Tuesday morning.

WOSU reporter Steve Brown spoke to Deputy Chief Tony Brooks, Marysville Police.

The incident happened on Scottslawn Road near the massive Scott’s factory. It’s a heavily-trafficked area off Industrial Parkway that’s surrounded by several factories and warehouses.

A police dispatcher said two people were transported to a local hospital.

Aerial photos of the scene show 10 cars strewn about. Two trains collided where the tracks cross Scottslawn Road.

Police say Scottslawn Road will remain closed south of Industrial Parkway until further notice.
