Ohio State football has suspended four Buckeyes for its season opener against Virginia Tech scheduled for September 7.
Joey Bosa, Jalin Marshall, Corey Smith and Dontre Wilson, have all been suspended for one game for violation of athletic department rules, a source tells WOSU.
The suspensions were announced a little more than a month away from the season opener as the Buckeyes prepare to defend their National Championship title.
Joey Bosa, generally regarded as one of the top players in the country, is projected to be a top 5 pick in the NFL next year.
The other three players, Smith, Marshall and Wilson, are all wide receivers. Depth should not be an issue for the Buckeyes, however, as quarterback Braxton Miller recently opted to switch to the wide receiver position earlier this month.
