The Ohio Board of Education is expected to revoke certifications for a former Columbus City Schools administrator accused of being a central figure in the district's data rigging scandal.
The state board has scheduled a Monday vote to permanently strip Michael Dodds of both his high school teaching and principal certifications. Dodds was a central figure in the Columbus schools data scrubbing scandal. He pleaded no contest to felony charges last month and now awaits sentencing in August on charges of tampering with government records and unauthorized use of school computers.
Dodds has waived his right to a hearing at the state board and will be ineligible to re-apply for either his teaching or school principal certifications.
The state board resolution cites conduct unbecoming for what it calls Dodds alleged falsification of student grade and attendance data.
Dodds is one of four former top Columbus school administrators to be charged with a crime.
