11:00

Two million veterans have returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan, and 1 in 5 have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, a mental illness that can turn their lives into nightmares.  The need for effective therapies is dire, and unaided by allegations of Veterans Administration misconduct.  This hour we’ll explore the latest in PTSD therapies, and how veterans and clinicians are working to fight this post-war battle.

Guests:

  • Teresa McCarty, Program Manager at the Columbus VA Post Deployment Integrated Care Clinic
  • Dr. Kathleen Chard, director of the Trauma Recovery Center at the Cincinnati VA
  • Sarah Kisor, Iraq and Afghanistan Veteran
  • Clarissa Black, founder of Pets for Vets
