Columbus-based health software company CoverMyMeds is apparently laying off workers again, three years after hundreds of employees lost their jobs.

A statement to WOSU from CoverMyMeds owner McKesson said that the company is continuously making changes across operations to better position McKesson and serve customers and patients.

"We are reallocating resources from some legacy services towards these solutions, and the employment of some individuals within our CoverMyMeds will be impacted," the statement said.

The statement did not say how many positions are affected.

"To deliver greater value for customers, partners, and the patients they serve we’re focusing our long-term strategy for CoverMyMeds on modern, technology solutions that simplify and accelerate healthcare’s most complex workflows at scale," the statement said.

CoverMyMeds laid off more than 800 employees in 2023, including shutting down an Arizona office.

CoverMyMeds opened its Franklinton headquarters in 2021.
