An Ohio State University wrestler faces felonious assault charges after a woman told police he hit and strangled her.
Court records show 22-year-old Anthony Echemendia-Orduna was arrested Monday after the woman called police. Officers say the two live together and the woman reported being attacked during an argument about money.
A spokesperson for Ohio State told other local media outlets they were aware of the arrest and had no further comment.
Echemendia-Orduna is freshman who grew up in Cuba before attending high school in Arizona.
