Ohio Air National Guard 180th Fighter Wing To Conduct State-wide Flyover

The Ohio Air National Guard will take to the skies this week to pay tribute to the healthcare workers, first responders, military members and other essential personnel at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 180th Fighter Wing will conduct a series of flyovers across the state throughout the day Thursday.

The guard says they want to lift the spirits of the heroes fighting COVID-19 every day and all Ohioans affected by the crisis.

A tentative schedule released by the Ohio National Guard indicates the Fighter wing will flyover Cincinnati around 10:30am Thursday May 7, and flyover Dayton, Wright-Patt Air Force Base and Springfield around 2pm that same day.

May 6:

1:45 – 2:15 p.m.

Toledo, Napoleon, Defiance, Archbold, Wauseon, Delta, Swanton

May 7:

10:30 – 11:00 a.m.

Cincinnati

1:45 – 2:05 p.m.

Lima, Findlay, Bowling Green

2:00 – 2:15 p.m.

Sandusky, Fremont

2:00 – 2:20 p.m.

Dayton, Wright-Patterson AFB, Springfield, Springfield ANGB

Jerry Kenney
Jerry Kenney was introduced to WYSO by a friend and within a year of first tuning in became an avid listener and supporter. He began volunteering at the station in 1991 and began hosting Alpha Rhythms in February of 1992. Jerry joined the WYSO staff in 2007 as a host of All Things Considered and soon transitioned into hosting Morning Edition. In addition to now hosting All Things Considered, Jerry is the host and producer of WYSO Weekend, WYSO's weekly news and arts magazine. He has also produced several radio dramas for WYSO in collaboration with local theater companies. Jerry has won several Ohio AP awards as well as an award from PRINDI for his work with the WYSO news department. Jerry says that the best part of his job is being able to talk to people in the community and share their experiences with WYSO listeners.
