Miami Valley filmmaker and musician Dale Farmer is bringing his award-winning film The Mountain Minor to the Little Art Theatre this Thursday night. The film's story centers on the migration of Appalachian musical traditions sourced from Eastern Kentucky, and employed numerous musicians near and far in the cast, including Elizabeth LaPrelle from the duo Anna & Elizabeth. Farmer, along with local musicians Ma Crow and members of the Corndrinkers, stopped by WYSO's studios to talk with Niki Dakota on Excursions to talk about the film, and play some of the traditional Appalachian music featured in the film.
Dale Farmer's film The Mountain Minor will be showing at the Little Art Theatre this Thursday at 7 PM, with a performance from The Corndrinkers to start off the show at 6:30 PM.
