Voters in Greene County will decide on three education-related ballot issues this fall.

The Greene County Career Center is asking voters to approve a levy to fund the construction of a new facility in Xenia.

The 20-year, 1.03 mil bond levy would raise $62 million. That comes out to an extra $36 per year for a homeowner with property worth $100,000.

Career Center officials say the facility would support the expansion of vocational training programs related to the aerospace industry.

In Yellow Springs, voters will decide whether to renew a five-year, 1.2 mil levy. District officials say the measure will fund standard facilities maintenance, and will not increase taxes.

Beavercreek residents will also see a school levy on the ballot. The district is seeking the approval of a five-year, 6.2 mil additional levy to support day-to-day operations. If approved, a homeowner with property worth $100,000 would pay about $217 per year.

District officials say they’ll be forced to make significant budget cuts if the measure is rejected.
