The announcement was made Tuesday after years of federal and state-level investigations into the for-profit university’s recruiting and accounting practices.
The U.S. Department of Education recently ordered the institution to cease enrolling students on federal financial aid. That move deprived the school of a major source of funding.
ITT Tech operates 9 campuses in Ohio and has about 2,000 students statewide.
