Community Calendar Spotlight on Cedar Bog

is a pretty unique habitat to Ohio. It was created thousands of years ago with plants left by retreating glaciers that are more commonly found further north in Boreal Forests.

The area is so unique that it’s home to over 40 endangered, threatened and rare plants and animals. Known for it’s orchids, prairie wildflowers, bog birch and Northern White Cedar...... Cedar Bog has more floristic diversity in it’s 427 acres than any other area in Ohio.

Celebrate Earth Day this weekend at Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. Starting on Saturday with a bike tour from 8:30 to 10 am, followed by an Earth Day Festival and Art show with free boardwalk tours, from 10 am to 4pm.

List your event on the WYSO community calendar and we might spotlight it on the air!
