This week's blues show, Saturday, January 26th, at 11pm, starts off with Gov't Mule, Dr. John, and John Scofield. The second set features the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, the Blues Merchants, Cream, and Anders Osborne. And, the show ends with two personal favorites, Deep Rhumba & Terence Blanchard's "In Time of Need."
Concert notes... John Scofield's getting ready for a European tour next month. Gov't Mule just finished up their annual Island Exodus getaway in Jamaica this week. Kenny Wayne Shepherd's touring with Buddy Guy this summer with a Riverbend stop June 16th. Terence Blanchard's playing the Blue Note Jazz Cruise next week.
Anders Osborne is on the bill with the Rolling Stones at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival May 2nd. General admission tickets for that day only were $185, and they're already sold out.
