While living in Texas, Alexander Watson and Dale Harris purchased and restored a vintage 1955 Chris-Craft Corsair 45-foot motor yacht and rechristened it the Betty Jane.
They and their dog, Doris Faye, then set off on a 15-month journey that began in the Arkansas River and ended on the Ohio, where the Betty Jane made port at Cincinnati. Alexander Watson chronicles their experience in his recently released book, River Queens: Saucy boat, stout mates, spotted dog, America.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss River Queens and to talk about the people they met and stories they heard along their river journey are author Alexander Watson and his partner Dale Harris.
