Julie Niesen, who has written the for 11 years, will write a new blog called Bits & Bites for WVXU.org starting Wednesday, Aug. 1.
From Kevin Reynolds, WVXU-FM's community relations manager:
"At least twice a month, Julie will delve into local, regional and national food and restaurant trends, news of interest to local diners and food lovers, and the people and personalities in the Greater Cincinnati food scene.
"Bits & Bites will run from the serious (how local bars are fighting sexual assault of its employees and patrons) to the more lighthearted (smaller ice cream shops taking on the big cones in town.) The growth and diversity of the food community presents a wealth of story possibilities, but reviews will be left to others.
"Foodies here and around the world can begin reading Julie Niesen's Bits & Bites blog on wvxu.org beginning August 1."
Niesen also occasionally will be heard on the WVXU-FM/WMUB-FM airwaves.
And yes, she will continue to write Wine Me Dine Me, which she started in 2007.
