Thomas More President David Armstrong is leaving the college to take the top job at a school in Miami, Florida. Armstrong takes over at St. Thomas University August 1.
He came to Thomas More in 2013 where he's credited with increasing enrollment and partnerships with the business community.
In a tweet, Armstrong writes, "Humbled to have been able to work with... all of the Thomas More community."

Armstrong says he's humbled to have worked with everyone at Thomas More and is excited about this next chapter in his life.
Thomas More trustees will meet with Covington archdiocese Bishop Roger Foys to determine who will take over the college in the interim.
The college is wishing Armstrong well, writing on Twitter, "Congratulations to [Armstrong] on the next step in his career. St. Thomas University is blessed to receive your leadership. TMC appreciates your many contributions and the excellent foundation put in place for the College's future trajectory."
