Former Hillary Clinton campaign communications director offers advice for women determined to seize control of their lives.

Former Hillary Clinton presidential campaign Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri has released a book that offers advice and redefines expectations for women looking to lead, in all walks of life.

Palmieri, who served as President Obama's White House communications director and as White House deputy press secretary under President Bill Clinton, is president of the Center for American Progress Action Fund. In her book, “Dear Madam President: An Open Letter to the Women Who Will Run the World,” she offers a blueprint for women candidates and leaders to follow.

Palmieri will give a presentation this evening at the Mercantile Library. She joins "Cincinnati Edition" this afternoon to discuss "Dear Madam President."

A reception will be held at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30. Copies of "Dear Madam President" will be available for sale and signing, courtesy of Joseph Beth Booksellers.
