Rep. Seitz Will Retire But Also Seeking Re-Election

Ohio State Representative Bill Seitz has sent a letter to the Hamilton County Board of Elections announcing he plans to retire before the end of his current term.

But Hamilton County Board of Elections Deputy Director Sally Krisel confirms he also has filed petitions to run again this year.

The letter is apparently a formality to begin collecting his pension next year.  Such a move is not unusual.

A group of Democratic women Representatives called for Seitz to resign after derogatory comments made at a recent party.

Seitz apologized for the comment but said he would not resign.  He cast legislative votes this week.
