Roz Harkavy moved to Cincinnati from Canton in the mid-1950's and wanted to be part of a caring, involved community.
She found that through the Jewish Welfare Fund and in North Avondale where she raised a family and became a well-respected artist, volunteer and philanthropist. As she tells her grandson, Ben Sloan, the civil rights movement of the 60's brought tremendous change to her neighborhood.
