"Haunt," a Halloween-themed horror film, is shooting in Covington, part of its five-week production schedule in Northern Kentucky, Film Cincinnati has announced.
Scott Beck and Bryan Woods ("The Bride Wore Blood," "A Quiet Place") are directing from their script about a group of friends who encounter an extreme haunted house on Halloween "that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some nightmares are real," according to Deadline.com.
The film stars Katie Stevens, a former "American Idol" contestant who has appeared in Freeform's "The Bold Type" and MTV's "Faking It," according to the International Movie Database.
The cast includes Andrew Caldwell ("iZombie," "Good Luck Charlie"), Shazi Raja ("Salvation"), Lauryn Alisa McClain ("A.N.T. Farm," "Daddy's Little Girls"), Will Brittain ("Kong: Skull Island") and Schuyler Helford ("Anger Management").
It’s the second motion picture in production here. "Donnybrook," with Frank Grillo, Margaret Qualley and Jamies Badge Dale, started filming Monday, Oct. 23.
