'SymphonyCast' Switches Tuesday Concert

For those of you wanting to hear pianist Emanuel Ax with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on "SymphonyCast" Tuesday, June 13, you'll have to wait a while longer.

The national "SymphonyCast," broadcast at 7 p.m. Tuesdays on classical WGUC-FM 90.9., has changed programs. The Buffalo Philharmonic, with conductor JoAnn Falletta and violinist Michael Ludwig, will air Tuesday instead of the CSO.

No reason was given for the program switch, says Kevin Reynolds, Cincinnati Public Radio community relations manager. "We were told they'd let us know if it's rescheduled," he says.

The Buffalo Philharmonic will play:

WEBERN: In Sommerwind

KORNGOLD: Violin Concerto

SCHUMANN: Symphony No. 3, Rhenish
