The United States and Israel have enjoyed an unusually strong alliance based on common interests and values for decades, a bond both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Barack Obama declared, "unbreakable" during a meeting the two had in September.

But there have been recent tensions between the two countries due to changes taking place in the Middle East. And it is not clear how the incoming Trump administration will address the many challenges facing the region.

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) andIsrael Center of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati will present a public forum on the future of US-Israel Relations on December 1. The Chairperson and Academic Director of the Israel Public Diplomacy Forum, Dr. Eytan Gilboa, will be the featured speaker. He joins us today along with Ohio State Senator Cecil Thomas, who was part of a recent bipartisan mission to Israel; and Sarah Weiss, executive director of theJewish Community Relations Council

The Israel Public Diplomacy Forum - a view from Jerusalem with Dr. Eytan Gilboa will be held on December 1 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mayerson Jewish Community Center. For more information and registration, click here.

At noon on December 1, Professor Gilboa will speak on The Changing Middle East: Impact on the USA and the West at the Cincinnati Rotary. The event will be held in the Hilton Netherland Plaza's Hall of Mirrors. For more information, click here
