Ever wonder why some people love haunted houses or are always first in line for the latest fright film? 

Meanwhile, others avoid Halloween attractions and scary stories at all costs, or even struggle with daily fears, such as going into their own basements or being in the dark.

Joining us with a look at the science of fear, and why some people like a good scare while others avoid it like the plague, is Dr. Katherine Brownlowe, a psychiatrist with the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
