Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will speak on back-to-back days at the American Legion's national convention, which begins in Cincinnati later this month.
The convention is being held at the Duke Energy Convention Center Aug. 26 through Sept. 1. Clinton, the Democratic nominee, is expected to address the veterans' organization on Wednesday, Aug. 31, while the Republican candidate, Trump, will make his speech to the group Thursday, Sept. 1.
About 9,000 veterans, family members and guests are expected to attend the convention.
The veterans' organization always invites the major party candidates to its national convention in a presidential election year.
Trump held a rally July 6 at the Sharonville Convention Center and, during the Ohio primary season, rallied supporters in West Chester. This will be his first trip to the city of Cincinnati.
Clinton was here on July 18, when she spoke to delegates to the NAACP national convention at the Duke Energy Convention Center. Trump turned down the NAACP's invitation to speak.
Trump campaigned in Youngstown Tuesday, while Clinton is holding a campaign event in Cleveland Wednesday.
