Helping Feed At-Risk Kids During The Summer Months

During the school year, about eight out of ten kids are eligible for free and reduced school lunches; but each summer, tens of thousands of children in the Tri-State area are at risk for hunger.

Freestore Foodbank and Design Impact teamed up to create Culinary Camp, a program whose goal is to make summer food programs more interesting and interactive. They launched UnPack’d, pop-up picnics that bring food to various parks around Hamilton County where kids gather.
