While stress is a normal part of office life, too much of it can be counterproductive and cause serious problems. 

More than one third of American workers experience chronic work stress, according to a survey from the American Psychological Association; this costs American businesses billions each year in medical expenses and missed work hours. There are ways companies can help individuals manage self-care in the office and tactics employees can use on their own, such as creating a healthy workspace.

Here to talk about office stress and ways to manage it are Dr. Diana McIntosh, associate professor at the University ofCincinnati’'sCollege of Nursing and coordinator of thecollege'’spsychiatric mental health nurse practitionerpost-master’scertificate program; and Dr. Cal Adler, professor of Psychiatry at theUC College of Medicine.
