Tim Hedrick's obituary has been posted, which says a public memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. in Xavier University's Cintas Center.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, says Michael Riesenbeck, manager for Cintas Center arena events and guest services.

The popular WKRC-TV chief meteorologist died April 23 of complications from prostate cancer first detected in 2008. He was 55.

I expect a huge crowd, so get their early. As his obit states:

"He's left an indelible mark on those that knew him, and a legacy that will not be forgotten."

Hedrick, an Illinois native, came to Cincinnati in 1988 at age 27 from WHO-TV in Des Moines.  He became the most popular TV personality in Cincinnati, with his Grilling with Tim cook-outs, Friday Night Football Forecasts done live from area high schools in the fall, and numerous activities with local charities. Here's a link to my tribute, " 'Doppler Tim' Hedrick Was More Than Our 'Weather Authority' "
