April is National Donate Life Month, dedicated to raising awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donors, and to encourage more people to register as organ donors.
One effort to show the positive impact of organ and tissue donations is the Transplant Games of America, a biennial gathering of recipients and donors competing in athletic and recreational games, this year happening in Cleveland, Ohio. Joining us to talk about her life after a double lung transplant and the upcoming Transplant Games is Tonya Gomez and from LifeCenter Organ Donor Network here in Cincinnati, Public Affairs Director Andi O'Malley.
