We all experience stress from time to time, whether in the workplace or at home, but how much is too much? Stress can have a negative impact on our minds and bodies; too much of it can cause diseases such as depression, anxiety and heart attack. According to the American Psychological Association, one in three Americans report experiencing extreme stress.

Here to discuss how extreme stress affects us and how to properly manage stress are Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate Program at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, Dr. Diana McIntosh; UC College of Medicine Adjunct Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine, Dr. Eleanor Glass; and UC College of Medicine Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, Dr. James Herman.
