The third annual Great Tree Summit will take place Saturday, February 13, at the Cincinnati Zoo. The summit is presented by Taking Root, the campaign to restore our region’s tree canopy with a goal of planting two million trees by 2020.
Joining us for an update on the Taking Root effort and a preview of the Great Tree Summit are Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden Director of Horticulture, Steve Folz, and Zoo horticulturist and Chairman of Taking Root, Scott Beuerlein.
The Great Tree Summit 2016 will be held at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Saturday February 13. After the Summit Saturday, there will be a showing of “Trees in Trouble,” a 30 minute documentary film by local filmmaker AndreaTorriceabout the plight of urban forests.
